Decor Inspiration: {A Glamorous Palette}

{... hello! already mid-week and time continues to fly by... came across this absolutely breathtaking home situated in Hong Kong, designed by a team of designers from San Francisco's Bamo, Inc. and it instantly lifted my spirits... perhaps it was because of the light, refreshing palette chosen for this residence while the rain continues on these dreary November days...xo}

work in progress- holiday prints

: : I'm working on a few patterns for the holiday. I'm hoping to have the prints ready and up in my etsy shop within the next 10 days. stay tuned!!

places around the house

: : if you are reading this, THANK YOU, I know I have been missing lately. I'm happy to see you back here. I wanted to share some photos from our home, these photos from our bedroom are from warmer and sunnier days. the wedding tree was a wedding gift, handpainted by my bestfriend .tina. and her husband. it's the best and most beautiful wedding gift, it reminds us of our day and all our friends and family who shared it with us.

there's in fact a funny story about the tree. I had had the same idea as .tina. and had printed a tree and brought to Sweden, when .tina. saw it she said "anna, why do you always have to be doing everything yourself?". But of course, her handdrawn tree was much more beautiful than my printed one, and it fits so perfectly with the colors in our bedroom.

the oil painting is by my grandpa and the gold flower by me. the framed photos are from my favorite places, rockport beach and our summer house.

{... at long last, a luxurious, well-deserved day off from work... looking forward to visiting favourite blogs and catching up on enormous backlog of emails (sorry!)... but in the meantime, am so excited to announce a new blog, Sequins and Tulle, which will serve as a companion to this blog and feature items for purchase and perhaps the occasion fashion editorial... am trying out the new dynamic template and want it set to mosaic, but am having trouble... isn't that the fun of it all?... anyways, hope you enjoy it and hope to load up lots of inspiration for Holiday shopping?}

I for one am exhausted, it has been a week of endless deadlines, all-day parliamentary debates, reviewing documents and matrix-managing multiple teams concurrently... and this weekend is sadly when my daughter, her boyfriend and children are moving out of our home and into theirs, newly built and full of possibilities for decorations and of making life-long memories... talk to you soon, xo}

Inspiration: {Instagram}

{...oh the joy of receiving a constant feed of beautiful photographs from one of the most popular applications and social network services... I have been a subscriber and contributor of instagram for approximately 30 weeks now. I enjoy it for many reasons, but mostly for the variety of photographs, ranging from beautiful beach shots from hawaii to at-the-moment photographs from fashion runways, but also for the privilege of being allowed to peek into the everyday lives of "everyday" people... there is more, oh so much more... perhaps a weekly feature of instagram picks?}
